Who we are . . .

The North Parish, a yoked parish comprised of Glenila Presbyterian Church in Calvin, ND, Sarles Lutheran Church ELCA in Sarles, ND, and First Presbyterian Church at Hannah, ND, came about as a result of the ever decreasing population of rural America. The resiliency of our congregations and the willingness to embrace change as we need to has kept this parish alive. We are reminded in Psalm 34 to "bless the Lord at all times" and "to exalt His name together." The willingness to come together and respect each other's heritage and traditions has been our success and our blessing.

We are constantly reminded that worship takes place with God's people, that worship isn't necessarily about buildings and furnishings. We continue to seek God's will and enjoy God's grace as we gather to worship and study the scriptures on the far edge of the Northern Plains and Prairies of North Dakota. We continue to seek God in fellowship and word wherever He may be found.
